Make your own Easter Eggs with air drying clay

If you're looking for Easter craft ideas, you'll love this fun project. In this lesson we show you how to create your own Easter eggs from scratch using air hardening clay and acrylic paints.

Step 1. Making the eggs.

Obviously the first step is to create the eggs. This is done with Mont Marte Air Dry Clay. Mont Marte Air Dry Clay comes in 2 sizes; 500g blocks and 2kg blocks. The size of the clay used depends on how many eggs are required. We have used a 2kg block and 20 real sized eggs can be created from a block of this size. Take the block out of the pack and cut it length ways into 4 parts with a butter knife. Next cut the long bits of clay into equal proportions and in the palm of your hands fashion them into egg shapes. Lay them out and let them dry.
