Make pastel polymer clay earrings
In this project, we’re stepping you through how to make pastel polymer clay earrings. Whether you’re looking to have some fun with jewelry making, creating a gift for someone special, or just wanting to use up some left-over clay, give this marbled, pastel earring project a go!
Cut slabs of polymer clay in half and then roll each slab into a ball, here we’re using a Silver, Pastel Blue and Pastel Lilac.
Roll the colours together to form a marble colour.
Use a rolling pin to flatten and blend the colours.
Once you’re happy with the look of the marble, roll to a 3mm thickness.
Cut out small fun shapes from thick paper and place the shapes on top of the clay.
Then cut around the shapes with a tool or knife.
Cut further shapes out.
Lift the excess clay from around the shapes off gently.
Flatten any edges with a knife if you need to and mold and shape the edges of your shapes.
Use a tool, the end of a paint brush or a pencil to poke a hole into the clay at the top.
Lay the shapes on top of foil and bake them on an oven tray in the oven as per instructions.
Once baked, add your earring loops by poking them through the hole in the clay.
Now your clay creations are ready to wear!
