How to make marble coasters with polymer clay

Conditioning polymer clay

Conditinoning thin strips of polymer clay

-     Roll each colour into a long tube to soften and condition the clay

-     Press and roll repeatedly until the clay feels pliable

-     Repeat this process for each colour you plan to use

Blending clay

Curling twisted polymer clay tube into circle

-     Press all conditioned colours together into one bundle

-     Curl the bundle into a loose spiral

-     Squish the spiral into a ball to start blending the pattern

Rolling out polymer clay

Rolling out marbled polymer clay circle

-     Place the clay ball onto your work surface and roll it out evenly

-     Use a Levelling Roller for even thickness or place pencils on either side as guides

-     Choose your favourite section of the pattern

-     Use a mug or glass as a template and cut around it with a palette knife

-     Try round, square, or playful shapes to personalise your set

Baking polymer clay

Putting tray with 4 marble coasters into oven

-     Preheat your oven according to the instructions on your clay packaging

-     Bake at 130°C for approximately 30 minutes

-     Allow the coasters to cool completely before handling
