"I grew up near the beach and so I am lucky to often see spectacular skies. Because I find it incredibly relaxing, I started to try to transform those feelings of calmness and peacefulness onto a canvas so I could experience that feeling whatever time of day by looking at my paintings."

Say hello to sunset artist and sky painting expert, Katy Tolj (@kmctcreative). Her passion for capturing the sky at different times of day is clear through her work, as is her love of art. 

Katy has been creating for as long as she can remember, and it's gotten her through so much throughout her life. She finds peace in the process - though she can run into challenges as much as the next person! Katy has learned to take breaks and be kind with herself when she runs into art block... the ideas will flow when they're meant to!
